🎭 2026 Hanok Village Traditional Yeonhui Parade
Date: April 18 – October 31, 2026
Venue: Hanok Village
Mask dancers, ribbon-spinners, and folk musicians move through the cobbled lanes between Namcheongyo and Gyeonggijeon most days of the week. The procession is open to the street, so you can fall into step alongside the performers rather than watch from a distance.
🎻 248th Regular Concert "Resurrection IV"
Date: June 5, 2026
Venue: Yeonji Hall, Sori Arts Center
Mahler's Symphony No. 2 — scored for full orchestra and a large choir — is the centerpiece of this concert. The "Resurrection" symphony runs about 80 minutes without intermission and rewards patient listening.
🥁 Daesaseupnori National Competition Celebration
Date: May 23 – June 5, 2026
Venue: Daesaseupcheong
Daesaseupnori is Korea's most competitive traditional music contest, and the celebration performances that follow it are where you'll hear the country's top pansori singers and instrumental ensembles at their sharpest.
🌸 2026 Dano Festival

Venue: Deokjin Park
Dano falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, and Deokjin Park celebrates it the old way: iris-water hair washing, swing competitions, and folk games amid the lotus beds that bloom through June.
🏮 2026 Heritage Night
Date: June 5–6, 2026
Venue: Hanok Village, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Hyanggyo
On these two nights, Jeonju's historic sites stay open after dark. Paper lanterns line the village paths, media art projections run on the walls of Gyeonggijeon, and storytellers set up in the courtyards.
🦢 Masterpiece Series: Korean National Ballet — Swan Lake
Date: June 19–20, 2026
Venue: Moakdang Hall, Sori Arts Center
The Korean National Ballet brings Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake to Moakdang Hall for two performances. This company tours the work regularly and performs it at a high standard.
