Experiences
Hands-on traditions, Hanok accommodations, and vibrant night tours.
Jeonju is designed for participation. Here is a quick summary of the best ways to immerse yourself in the city's heritage.
1. Hands-on Heritage & K-Culture
Dive directly into Korea's traditional arts through short, accessible activities located right in the village.
- Hanbok Rental: Choose from dozens of shops to rent traditional attire (approx. 15k–30k KRW for a few hours). No reservations needed.
- Hanji Papermaking: Sift wood pulp to create your own sheet of traditional Korean paper.
- Pansori & Arts: Enjoy live traditional storytelling and music performances at local heritage centers.
2. Official Hanok Stay (Accommodation)
Experience sleeping on Ondol (traditional heated floors) in a courtyard home. For quality and safety, it is highly recommended to book an officially certified accommodation.
3. Night Tourism
Jeonju transforms at night. The city actively promotes evening access to historic sites, illuminated by Hanji lanterns and media art.
